Blessed be Your Name

"You give and take away. My heart will choose to say, "Lord, blessed be Your Name."
It's been a while since I've updated this blog. I have so much I could report, but I must say what is on my heart.
This past Sunday morning heaven gained a great soul. The beloved Life Action White Team truck driver, handy man, Stephen Maines, was involved in a motorcycle accident and didn't make it. At 21, he was a great friend and brother in Christ. He lived for Christ using his talents and abilities for other's good and God's glory. He loved working with his hands. The semi truck he drove was his baby. He cleaned that thing like nobody I've ever seen. He took every job he had seriously and was a great encouragement to others in their responsibilities.
It's so hard to see him go and to watch his friends and family mourning. But I can finally say with Job, "Blessed be the Name of the Lord." God has a perfect plan for everything he does and Stephen is so happy now. No more communication problems to deal with, girls to try to understand, or anything else in this fleeting life.
When I think about him I can almost see him in heaven, drinking his Mountain Dew, eating his nutty bar, and chatting with Nehemiah about the building plan for the next mansion. Knowing he's there among others makes me even more excited about going. To be in the presence of the God you have been serving all these years and to hear Him say, "Well done my good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of your Lord."
Let's keep serving our Lord together!

I'm Broken

The past few weeks I realize I have been living for myself within the ministry of Life Action. I have been seeking the approval of man above the appoval of God and satisfying the desires of my flesh. God has seemed distant and last night I broke when I realized what I was doing. Funny how I can be so blinded my our own sin.
This whole post title began because of this and how Christ is molding me day by day to be more like Him. There is no place I would rather be than in His arms. Even if it means traveling the country as a nomadic missionary ministering to a family and church members in various states. When you read this please pray that God will continue His work in my life and I would be obedient to His direction for my day whatever it may be.

My Very First Post

I am now sitting on my bed in my host home in Duncan, Oklahoma. After hearing friends sharing with blogspots and viewing some I decided I might as well try it out. Who knows? It might be a good way to keep supporters and other friends and family updated whenever they want to know what's going on in my life.
